Alabama congressman gets taste of autogas

September 19, 2012 By

Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., visited the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama on Tuesday and test-drove one of 10 propane autogas fleet vehicles that Alliance AutoGas recently helped the sheriff’s office convert.

Alliance’s Mark Denton gave Rogers a hands-on look at the vehicle’s bi-fuel autogas technology, which is also powering fleets at the Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industry, Alabama State Docks, the city of Mobile and other enterprises throughout Alabama.

Alliance helped Lee County convert 10 Ford Crown Victorias under the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program.
