The company also installed a private propane fueling station that includes an 18,000-gallon underground propane tank. The fueling station is based at the company’s distribution center in Baltimore.

The baking company reported that AmeriGas provided it with propane. Chuck Paterakis, vice president of transportation and logistics for H&S Baking, said the company chose to use propane to fuel its fleet because it’s more sustainable.

H&S Bakery celebrated its new line of propane-fueled fleets at its facility on Dec. 18 with Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Baltimore mayor, as the event’s keynote speaker.
