Blue Bird adds calibration options for propane buses

Blue Bird, which makes and sells propane-powered school buses, debuted two calibration options for its propane autogas buses at the School Transportation News Expo Conference and Trade Show in Reno, Nev.

The school bus manufacturer showcased its PowerShift and EconoShift calibration options for its Propane Vision buses equipped with Roush CleanTech fuel systems at the event.

Blue Bird’s PowerShift calibration selection generates more power and works best in high-altitude operating conditions or in environments that require quicker acceleration, according to the company. The EconoShift calibration selection allows for improved fuel economy and works best in urban areas or on flat terrain.
