Blue Bird revealed its Vision Gen 4 propane school bus at the School Transportation News Expo in Reno, Nev. The new Type C bus model features a Ford and Roush CleanTech powertrain, with a 6.8-liter V10 engine and transmission and a five-year, unlimited-mile warranty. According to Blue Bird, the Vision Gen 4 propane bus exceeds emission standards and offers better fuel economy over other propane-powered school buses because of its EconoShift optimization feature. The bus also incorporates a few other enhancements, including a repositioned sending unit and pre-injector filter for easier serviceability. It also includes O-ring sealed fuel lines and a new Euro-style fill connector.
