California retailer adds bulk storage
Pacific States Petroleum Inc. installed a 30,000-gallon LP gas tank in Benicia, Calif., eliminating its 180-mile round-trip bobtail runs to source product. According to Pacific States, the first transport load was delivered to its new tank Aug. 9.
“We have eliminated our bobtail runs to Rocklin, [Calif.], about 90 miles each way, resulting in savings on labor and vehicle costs, and most importantly, driving additional profitability back to the propane division by becoming more efficient in our daily operations,” says Jason Edwards, general manager of propane operations for Pacific States Petroleum.
