CHS contributing funds to aid those with propane-heated homes

January 31, 2014 By

CHS Inc. is donating $75,000 to organizations that will help keep propane-heated homes warm. According to a press release, CHS is donating $25,000 to the Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund; $25,000 to HeatShare, which the Minnesota Salvation Army administers; and $25,000 to support the American Red Cross Disaster Giving Program.

The Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund is a non-profit, public/private partnership that keeps heat and power on for thousands of families in crisis. HeatShare provides energy assistance on a year-round basis to families in crisis. The American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program provides shelter and other emergency assistance to individuals and families forced to leave their homes.

In addition to the contributions, CHS says it is working directly with its affected customers to identify short- and long-term solutions to propane supply issues, including evaluating supply and storage needs.
