DCP Midstream reduces staff, to close Oklahoma City office

February 2, 2015 By

DCP Midstream reduced its staff, affecting about 20 percent of its employees in corporate staff functions. With the staff reduction, DCP says it plans to close its Oklahoma City regional office. The company also plans to reduce staff levels in Tulsa, Okla., and Midland, Texas. Most of the positions lost in those three locations will be sent to DCP’s Denver headquarters and Houston regional office, the company adds.

Wouter van Kempen, DCP chairman and CEO, explains that the company is repositioning its staff for the long term to ensure a more sustainable workforce.
