Dead River appoints VP of corporate development

dead-river-jeremy-youngDead River Co. hired Jeremy Young to serve as its vice president of corporate development, appointing him to focus on mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing.

Prior to this position, Young worked as the senior vice president of corporate development at Oldcastle, a building materials company in Salt Lake City. In that position, he managed corporate development and led mergers and acquisitions in the western United States.

Young also has experience serving in executive positions with companies such as PayPal and The Boston Consulting Group.

“We’re still a family-owned company, but we are a growing company,” says Deanna Sherman, president of Dead River. “Balancing our growth with a continued commitment to our customers and the communities we serve is a critical component of our strategic plan. We believe [Young] brings the right skills to that task.”
