Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) acquired CC Propane Co., a privately owned company based in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

CC Propane provides propane and propane equipment to residential, commercial and agricultural customers across west central Ohio. According to EDP, Jay and Shelli Sweede have owned CC Propane since 2005, and both have 58 years of experience combined.

“We are pleased to welcome CC Propane to the EDP family of companies,” says Tom Knauff, CEO of EDP. “The addition of CC Propane brings the number of EDP-owned operations in Ohio to five, expanding our presence in the state. The company will retain its name and local decision-making for customers, a strategy EDP follows with each transaction.”

As a result of the acquisition, Kelly Starner will serve as the site’s new operations manager and Frank Edwards will serve as its general manager, according to EDP.

EDP actively seeks partners for growth, and it provides propane services to residential and commercial customers in California, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin.
