Enterprise gauging interest in potential Panola Pipeline expansion

December 15, 2014 By

Enterprise Products Partners LP started a binding open season to seek shipper support for a proposed expansion of the portion of its Panola Pipeline Co. LLC natural gas liquids (NGLs) system between Carthage, Texas, and Mont Belvieu, Texas. Enterprise says the project is designed to support Haynesville Shale producers and Cotton Valley, La., oil and gas producers with  better access to Mont Belvieu.

According to a press release, the NGL pipeline system stretches 181 miles and serves multiple destinations at Mont Belvieu, including facilities Enterprise owns and operates. The Panola expansion project would be designed to accommodate about 50,000 barrels per day of incremental capacity, depending on shipper response to the open season. Achieving the additional capacity would involve installing additional pipe, pumps and related equipment. The additional capacity is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2016
