Enterprise TEPPCO pipeline rate increase takes effect

November 16, 2012 By

Rates on the Enterprise TEPPCO pipeline were scheduled to increase on Nov. 16 following the company’s proposal in March to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The commission had suspended the tariff for the maximum seven months.

The increase amounts to an average of 10 cents per gallon, depending on origin-destination points, says Philip Squair, senior vice president of public and governmental affairs for the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA).

NPGA and a coalition of more than 80 companies and state associations continue to protest the increase. A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 30, 2013.
