FedEx contractor hits ground running with new propane truck

March 6, 2014 By

Roush CleanTech announced the unveiling of the first propane-fueled FedEx Ground fleet vehicle during The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis. Jon Chase, CEO of Chase Delivery in Lancaster, N.Y., and owner of the Ford F-59, estimates his company will save more than $25,000 over the lifetime of the vehicle, which runs a high-mileage route in Buffalo, N.Y. Chase says the company is experiencing lower fuel and maintenance costs, and he expects a return on investment in less than three years. The new delivery truck has a 65-gallon fuel tank.
