Ferrellgas acquires independent Kansas marketer

Ferrellgas Partners LP acquired KanGas Corp., a propane retailer based in Basehor, Kan. According to a press release, KanGas represents Ferrellgas’ first acquisition of its latest fiscal year, which began Aug. 1. Steve Wambold, president and CEO of Ferrellgas, says KanGas has been competing with his company for 30 of Ferrellgas’ nearly 75 years.
