Fire hazard prompts propane cooker recall

June 14, 2013 By

Texsport recalled about 325 Cedar Lake propane heater/cookers because of a regulator that malfunctions when users switch from a cooking to a heating option, and vice versa. The company says the propane gas turns to liquid, posing a fire hazard because it can flare easily.

The cookers, which are manufactured in China and sold online through Amazon, Kmart and Sears, among other retailers, were sold between May 2012 and February 2013.
