Florida consulting firm commits 85 fleet vehicles to autogas

Universal Engineering Sciences plans to convert nearly one-quarter of its fleet to propane autogas.

According to theĀ Jacksonville Business Journal, Universal Engineering Sciences plans to convert 85 of its 400 vehicles to autogas. Universal Engineering Sciences, based in Orlando, Fla., serves as an engineering consulting firm with a presence in Jacksonville, Fla.

The firm celebrated its commitment to autogas by hosting one of the stops on the Alliance AutoGas Coast-to-Coast Clean Air Ride. The North Florida Clean Fuels Coalition and the North Florida TPO attended that event to promote autogas, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal.

The Alliance AutoGas Coast-to-Coast Clean Air Ride featured a Ford F-150 autogas truck that traveled 5,500 miles across the United States starting May 2 in Kansas City, Mo. The tour is scheduled to end in Asheville, N.C.
