Former JARCO owner completes role with Polar Service Centers

November 2, 2012 By

Nancy Coop, former owner and president of propane delivery truck manufacturer JARCO Inc., has ended her contract with Polar Service Centers, the two sides mutually agreed.

Polar acquired JARCO in November 2010, with Coop serving as a consultant to help provide a smooth transition. Polar says it has accomplished the integration of upfitting propane bobtails at several facilities in its nationwide, 30-location service center network.

Polar leaders commended Coop’s work in helping to unite the companies. Customer and supplier relationships will continue with senior management, Bill Soulon and Tim Thrash in the JARCO organization and Mark Hunsley with Polar.

“It has been my honor to carry on the legacy that my dad, Casey Jarvis, began in 1959, when he founded JARCO,” Coop says in a press release. “At this juncture, I am confident that our longtime JARCO employees and all of our customers are in good hands. When my dad was at the helm, he ensured that our products and service were second to none, and that philosophy has carried to this day.”

Coop says she will continue her involvement with the propane industry and the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), volunteering on committees and helping to lead NPGA’s new Women in Propane Council.
