Former president of Yankee Propane joins Energy Distribution Partners

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) announced David R. Stroupe as vice president of corporate development.

Stroupe brings about 30 years of propane industry experience to this role. He has held a variety of senior level management, operations and business development positions.

“We are extremely pleased to have Dave Stroupe join EDP,” says Thomas Knauff, CEO of EDP.

Stroupe began his propane industry career with Green Mountain Propane, serving as vice president and COO. He later worked in business development and operations positions for marketers, including Heritage Propane and AmeriGas Partners.

Most recently, Stroupe served as president of Yankee Propane for about five years until he negotiated the sale of the company to Superior Plus Energy Services.

“We look forward to Dave partnering with Mark Zimora, our vice president of operations – who has very capably spearheaded our corporate development efforts for the past year – as we continue to expand our growing company,” Knauff says. “With Dave’s tremendous industry experience and his well-deserved reputation as an industry leader, he is a welcome addition to our executive team.”
