Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) has long been recognized as an industry leader in the development of a range of alternative fuels, and that is certainly the case with its propane autogas S2G chassis, which it began producing in 2014. The S2G features an 8.0-liter LP gas engine and a factory-installed liquid propane fuel system. With a 60-gallon (48 gallons usable) LP gas fuel tank, the S2G can offer ranges of more than 200 miles per tank. And it’s just as powerful as it is efficient, offering 339 hp at 4,100 rpm and 495 pounds per ft. at 3,100 rpm. Add in a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 33,000 pounds, and the S2G is an innovative and ideal solution for a number of industries and applications.

At the National Propane Gas Association’s Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, FCCC is showcasing its crane truck/flatbed version of the S2G, also designed for use by the propane market.
