February 8, 2016 By

Green Alternative Systems, a Roush CleanTech partner, plans to expand its services by adding a new facility in Chicago to convert fleets to propane autogas.

Green Alternative Systems completes propane and compressed natural gas conversions at various locations across the United States. The company partnered with Roush CleanTech in 2012 to convert vehicles to autogas.

Through the partnership, Green Alternative Systems is certified to convert several Ford vehicles to autogas, including Ford F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks; Ford E-150, E-250 and E-350 passenger and cargo vans; Ford E-350 shuttle buses; Ford E-450 shuttle buses; Ford F-59 chassis, step vans and trolleys; and Ford F-550 shuttle buses.

Green Alternative Systems says its expansion into Chicago will complement its existing facility in Elkhart, Ind., bringing more conversions to the Midwest region. The company has 12 other service centers in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.
