Green building standard approved, benefiting propane

February 9, 2009 By

The National Association of Home Builders reports that the association’s National Green Building Standard for single-family homes, apartments and condos and residential remodeling and renovation has been approved by the American National Standards Institute. The approval makes the National Green Building Standard the benchmark for green homes. That’s good news for the propane industry. Construction professionals who build and remodel with propane can earn up to 199 points toward green building certification under the National Green Building Standard. Propane marketers can use the green builder brochure from PERC to share that message with builders and remodelers in their area.
