IC Bus LLC, a subsidiary of Navistar Inc., will offer its CE Series school bus powered by the Power Solutions International 8.8-liter propane engine for the 2015 school year, the company announced.

The CE Series is designed to provide higher torque at lower engine speeds, according to a press release. The school bus also integrates an Allison 2500 transmission.

IC Bus will manufacture the vehicles out of its school bus assembly plant in Tulsa, Okla. Deliveries will begin in summer 2015 and buses will go into service for the start of the 2015-16 school year, the company added. The CE Series will also be on display Nov. 8-11 at the National Association for Pupil Transportation Annual Summit in Kansas City, Mo.
