Kenworth Truck releases smartphone, mobile app

Kenworth Truck Co. launched its Kenworth Essentials app for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

The free app shares Kenworth and industry-related news in real time. It also allows users to explore Kenworth truck models, engines and technologies with videos, brochures and image galleries.

In addition, the app helps users locate Kenworth dealers close to their location, along with directions to those dealerships. Users can also call nearby dealerships by tapping on their phone numbers provided in the app.

Users should occasionally “update” Kenworth Essentials, as Kenworth plans to regularly update and add new features to the app, the company says. Kenworth Essentials can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
