Medium-duty beverage trucks deliver on propane

November 13, 2014 By

Five medium-duty beverage trucks fueled by propane autogas began operation at Nestlé Waters North America’s Los Angeles location. The trucks will deliver Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water to area businesses and residents.

The location utilizes on-site refueling for its diesel-powered trucks, and the company has chosen to add an on-site propane autogas fueling station, as well. Nestlé Waters purchased the medium-duty chassis from Midway Ford and upfitted the vehicle with a side-load beverage body at Mickey Truck Bodies in High Point, N.C. Each unit is equipped with a Roush CleanTech propane autogas fuel system that provides a 45-usable gallon fuel tank. The water delivery company operates more than 2,000 trucks throughout the nation that are primarily fueled by diesel.
