MFA Oil Co. acquired Keiser Oil & LP Gas Co., an independent retailer based in Keiser, Arkansas. Keiser has been servicing its local customers for more than 50 years, the company says.

“We continue to build on our presence in northeast Arkansas and this acquisition will strengthen our position in the region,” says Jon Ihler, MFA Oil vice president of sales and marketing. “We plan to maintain the bulk propane plant in Keiser and integrate Keiser’s propane business into our existing operations in the area.”

According to MFA Oil, this is the second acquisition it has made in its fiscal year, which began Sept. 1, 2016. The first acquisition was of Ozark County LP Gas Co., which has locations in Gainesville, Missouri, and Mountain Home, Arkansas.

MFA Oil Co., formed in 1929, is a farmer-owned cooperative that supplies fuels, lubricants and propane to customers in Missouri, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah and Wyoming. It has more than 40,000 members.
