MFA Oil raises $165,000 for military cause

MFA Oil Co. raised $165,000 for Operation Homefront during its second annual charity golf scramble and concert at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.

Mark Fenner, MFA Oil president and CEO, says the company more than doubled the number of donations it received this year compared to last year.

The tournament attracted 200 golfers and included prize money and awards for tournament winners. In addition to golf, MFA Oil provided event participants and guests with a dinner and a private concert featuring country music singer-songwriter Sara Evans.

Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization that provides emergency and financial assistance to military troops and their families.
