New Enterprise facility producing NGLs in Texas

August 4, 2016 By

Enterprise Products Partners LP began operations at its new cryogenic natural gas processing plant in Reeves County, Texas, that was jointly developed with an affiliate of the Occidental Petroleum Corp.

Delaware Basin Gas Processing LLC, a company in which Enterprise and Occidental each hold a 50 percent interest, owns the plant. Enterprise will serve as the operator of the new facility.

According to Enterprise, the plant has a capacity of 150 million cu. ft. per day and can extract in excess of 22,000 barrels per day of natural gas liquids (NGLs).

Supported by long-term contracts, the plant is designed to accommodate the growing production of NGL-rich natural gas from the Delaware Basin, Enterprise adds. In conjunction with the Delaware Basin Gas Processing plant, Enterprise completed the construction of an 82-mile, 12-in.-diameter NGL pipeline that connects to its Chaparral Pipeline. The pipeline will provide customers with access to the company’s fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas.

Enterprise Products Partners LP is a publicly traded partnership and a North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals.
