NPGA dues increasing by 3 percent for 2013

August 17, 2012 By

NPGA is increasing membership dues by 3 percent, citing annual expense escalators for rent, compensation and employee benefits as reasons for the increase.

The 3 percent increase equates to an $11 increase in national dues for marketer members with one or two bulk plants. It equates to a $30 increase for supplier members at the first tier in the dues structure.

NPGA says an additional $110,000 needs to be funded through increases in revenue or through program expense reductions. The increase in membership dues will generate an additional $75,000 in added revenue, leaving a structural budget deficit of $35,000. NPGA says the budget deficit has historically been made up through a combination of expense cuts and revenue increases from other non-dues revenue sources.
