Officers installed at NPGA mid-year board meeting

June 5, 2014 By

David Lugar, vice president of supply and logistics of AmeriGas, was sworn in as the next chairman of the board of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) during the mid-year meeting June 2 in Washington, D.C.
The meeting came ahead of Propane Days, the industry’s lobbying event.

In his initial speech as chairman, Lugar said his primary goal is to support and encourage the work already under way to avoid winters like last year’s.
“I didn’t have to develop a lot of missions for my year,” Lugar said.

In addition to Lugar, who replaced Gary France as chairman, three other 2014-15 officers were sworn in: Charlie Ory, chairman-elect, of Aero Propane; Stuart Weidie, vice chairman, of Blossman Gas; and Jerry Brick, treasurer, of North Star Energy.
