Paraco Gas to convert fleets through Alliance AutoGas network

June 11, 2012 By

Paraco Gas Corp., the 15th largest U.S. propane retailer in LP Gas’ 2011 Top 50 rankings, joined the national Alliance AutoGas network to provide a complete alternative fuel program to fleets in areas of Connecticut as well as New York City and surrounding counties. Fleets can convert to propane autogas for a fraction of the cost of compressed natural gas technology, notes Michael Gioffre, president of Paraco South. Alliance AutoGas provides autogas vehicle conversions, installation of a fuel station at the fleet base, data integration for fuel management systems, operational and safety training, and ongoing technical support for fleets. Alliance also offers funding options that enable fleets to switch to autogas at no upfront cost.

In other Paraco news, the company acquired the Cloyd Howard Co. of Walden, N.Y., adding 2,000 customer accounts and 300,000 gallons of propane.
