PERC enhances marketer training program

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is enhancing its existing Marketer Technology Training program and building it into a new Marketer Technology and Sales Training program to help members break into new markets and maximize existing ones.

The new program entails daylong sessions per module in order to deliver more exposure to new products, introduce marketers to local equipment dealers and let marketers test out their new sales skills.

According to PERC, more than 1,200 propane marketers were trained in the Marketer Technology Program that offered free classes on tankless water heaters, commercial lawn mowers, irrigation engines, on-road vehicles and fleets, generators and residential equipment. PERC worked with marketers and state associations over the last six months to enhance the classroom experience with customized sales approaches.
