The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) plans to expand its quick-connect nozzle incentive program availability to fleets and double the incentive amounts for applicants.

As a result of expanding the program, private fleets and public refueling stations will be eligible to apply for the incentive program, which will now provide $100 per tank-side connector and $1,000 per hose-end connector, PERC says.

“The quick-connect nozzles allow for an easier refueling experience for operators and significantly reduce fugitive emissions, too,” says Greg Kerr, director of research and development at PERC. “We’re excited to expand this incentive program to those who benefit most from this newer nozzle technology – fleet owners and operators.”

PERC initially approved $500,000 for the quick-connect nozzle incentive program at its July 2015 meeting in Park City, Utah. The council developed the program to give propane marketers an incentive to help their customers replace older autogas nozzles with newer, lower-emission autogas refueling equipment.

The new incentives will be available to propane marketers and expanded for fleets looking to replace their current refueling technology until the end of June, according to PERC. Companies can begin the application process for the incentive program by completing an online form.
