Motor-speed pump design smaller than traditional models

August 10, 2011 By

Blackmer has two new models within its LGL150 Series motor-speed pumps, as well as an upgraded version of its LGL158B motor-speed pump. These pumps can be used in high-pressure, continuous-duty LPG auto-fuel-dispensing applications. The design of the new LGL150 pumps – the LGL154A for single-hose fueling and the LGL156A for dual-hose fueling – is smaller than traditional models, allowing them to offer reduced flow rate for auto-gas dispensers; reduced horsepower requirements; use with C-face single-phase motors; the ability to be used in high-pressure applications; and the ability to be used in continuous-duty operations. Both the LGL154A and LGL156A models feature new replaceable liners that are equipped with cavitation-suppression technology, a new inboard head that allows the C-face motor bracket to mount directly to the pump head and a shaft that is 1.4 inches longer to allow the same shaft to be used with several different motor-frame sizes. The upgraded LGL158B model has been designed for high-pressure dual-hose fueling and in underground LPG storage applications.
