Propane engine receives EPA certification

February 16, 2017 By

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certified Lehr’s propane-powered 15-hp, 603-cc Kawasaki engine, designed for the construction, outdoor power equipment and floor care industries, the company announced. Lehr’s three-stage pressure regulator and needle jet fuel delivery technology deliver accurate fuel metering to produce clean and safe emission levels at all engine speeds and loads, the company says. The engine’s heat vaporization technology boosts fuel economy while eliminating regulator failures caused from overfilled propane cylinders. Additionally, the engine exceeds Occupational Safety & Health Administration requirements, and it serves as a safe, clean solution, Lehr says.
