The Propane Gas Association of New England (PGANE) reported the death of David Breed, who died of multiple health issues Sept. 25 at the age of 69.

According to his obituary, Breed had been in the propane industry since 1978 when he began to work for Maingas in Waterville, Maine. Throughout his career, he also worked for Downeast Energy and Ray Murray Inc. until his retirement in 2008. Upon retirement, he created Let’s Talk Propane LLC as a consulting and training business.

Breed served as president of the former Maine Propane Gas Association, PGANE and the New England Foundation Board. He was a member of the National Propane Gas Association’s board of directors, as well.

Propane safety was Breed’s passion, as he gained mentorship from Norman L. Bushey, the obituary notes.
