PSI to produce fuel-flexible powertrain system for Amp Holding

July 2, 2013 By

Power Solutions International (PSI) has agreed to equip all Workhorse chassis models of Amp Holding, an electric drive systems manufacturer, with certified powertrain systems that are capable of running on propane, gasoline and compressed natural gas. The chassis will be used in a variety of on-highway applications, including medium-duty delivery trucks.

PSI will equip the chassis using 4.8- and 6.0-liter General Motors (GM) engines. PSI came to a multiyear agreement earlier this year with GM to sell 4.8- and 6.0-liter engines for on-highway use.
