Southcross Holdings adds fractionator in south Texas

October 22, 2015 By

Southcross Holdings LP placed in service the second of two natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionation trains at its Robstown Fractionator near Corpus Christi, Texas. The new fractionator takes Robstown’s total capacity to 63,000 barrels per day.

According to Southcross Holdings, the second fractionation train allows the company to deliver additional purity NGL products from the Robstown facility to customers in the Corpus Christi area. John Bonn, president and CEO of Southcross Holdings’ general partner, adds that Robstown is now well positioned to meet the growing needs of petrochemical, industrial and export demand around Corpus Christi.

In addition, Southcross completed a Y-grade pipeline connecting its Gregory, Texas, processing facility to the Bonnie View and Robstown fractionators in south Texas. The company says all three of its processing facilities are now connected to both Robstown and Bonnie View.
