Suburban Propane to supply autogas to Alabama school system

Suburban Propane will provide propane to fuel 44 new propane-powered school buses purchased by the Franklin County School System in Alabama.

The $3 million investment will save the school system more than $1 per gallon in fuel, the company explains.

Additionally, the company will provide autogas dispensers and storage at five locations, making fueling more convenient for drivers throughout the school system. The school system received an additional savings of $220,000 through Suburban Propane’s environmental rebate program.

The company says fueling stations were installed in May.
