UGI Corp. acquires LP gas business in France

UGI Corp., the parent company of AmeriGas, acquired a liquefied petroleum gas (LP gas) distribution business in France. UGI Corp.’s French subsidiary, UGI Bordeaux Holding, reached an agreement in principle to acquire Total’s French LP gas distribution business for about $600 million. The deal is expected to close during the first half of 2015.

According to a press release, Total’s French business distributed more than 265 million retail gallons of LP gas in 2013. UGI distributed about 600 million retail gallons of LP gas throughout Europe in its 2013 fiscal year.
