October 3, 2012 By

Gov. Bob McDonnell, R-Va., signed a memorandum Tuesday requiring all Virginia state agencies to develop an alternative fuel replacement plan for fleet vehicles. McDonnell also signed partner agreements to convert vehicles to propane autogas and compressed natural gas.

Alliance AutoGas and Roush CleanTech will facilitate autogas conversions and provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) autogas vehicles for Virginia state agencies. Alliance will also provide fueling for state fleets transitioning to autogas.

McDonnell made the announcement at his third annual Governor’s Conference on Energy.
