Vice president of Phillips Energy Inc. Elizabeth Phillips McCormick has been named president of the Virginia Propane Gas Association (VAPGA).

Prior to becoming president of VAPGA, McCormick served as the treasurer and secretary of the organization. She also served as president of the Virginia Propane Research & Education Foundation.

“The VAPGA membership is thrilled to see Elizabeth elected to association president,” says Ben Rowe, executive director of VAPGA. “Her deep knowledge of VAPGA and the propane industry make her the right person to serve our membership, champion our industry’s issues and lead VAPGA for the coming year.”

As vice president of Phillips Energy, McCormick oversees the company’s financial and administrative operations, leads new product development for the propane appliance division and coordinates philanthropic efforts, according to the company. She has 23 years of experience in the propane industry.

“It is an honor to be named president of such a terrific organization like the VAPGA,” McCormick says. “I’m excited to collaborate with the rest of the leadership team and VAPGA members to keep raising awareness and driving utilization of propane as a reliable fuel that works everywhere – from home to the highway.”
