Wisconsin bus companies invest in autogas vehicles, infrastructure

Two Wisconsin-based transportation companies – Lamers Bus Lines and Badger Bus – are adding a combined 57 Blue Bird Propane Vision school buses to their fleets.

Lamers, a 70-year-old company that transports students from Milwaukee Public Schools, added 41 new Propane Vision school buses to its fleet, according to a press release. The company is also installing an onsite 30,000-gallon fuel dispenser to service the buses. The new vehicles expand Lamers’ propane fleet to 59. More than 1,300 school buses are in the company’s fleet.

Badger Bus, meanwhile, is expanding its autogas vehicle fleet to 20 with its purchases. According to a press release, the buses will be used to transport students in Madison Metropolitan School District.
