The Towanda newspaper awarded WOC Energy for the third consecutive year.
WOC Energy, founded in 1958, has been providing retail and commercial propane services, heating oil, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) services to customers across north-central Pennsylvania for nearly 60 years. In February 2015, the company was acquired by EDP.
According to Jeff Brunner, regional vice president-east for EDP, the award is in large part due to the strong employee culture that is well-established at WOC Energy.
“We knew from our initial conversations with WOC’s owners that the company had a solid group of employees who believed in taking good care of their customers and contributing to the local community,” Brunner says. “As soon as we announced the news that WOC Energy was about to become a member of the EDP family of companies, we quickly reassured the employees and let them know we would retain them. They were the people who had made WOC a success.”
