Palmdale Propane acquires Gatorgas LP
Palmdale Propane, a subsidiary of Palmdale Oil Co., acquired Gatorgas LP, located in Old Town, Florida. Legacy Energy Consulting, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm, oversaw the transaction.
Gatorgas was established in 1985 by Frank Anderson and a silent partner, Bob Gratton, beginning with a small cylinder exchange and a single fill station. Anderson managed Gatorgas until his passing in June 2023. Following Anderson’s passing, ownership of the company transferred to his daughter, Jennifer Anderson, and his wife, Debbie Anderson, with Jennifer assuming responsibility of daily operations.
“When it was time to sell our family propane company after 40 years, Chad and Tyler at Legacy Energy Consulting took me under their wing and treated me like family,” says Jennifer Anderson. “To attempt to sell a propane company without a team like Chad and Tyler to guide me through it all would have been my biggest mistake. They have all the needed resources, guidance, expertise and professionalism, plus they are always looking out for the greater good of their client.”
According to the company, Legacy Energy Consulting’s role encompassed the initial valuation, discreetly marketing the business to potential buyers through an efficient and structured sales process, negotiating the final deal structure and managing the due diligence process between the seller and eventual buyer.
“It was an honor to get to know and work with Jennifer during the challenging period following her father’s unexpected passing, and I am confident that we found the right buyer to carry on what the Anderson family has built,” says Chad Pendill, founder and president of Legacy Energy Consulting.
