PERC to deliver propane autogas and clean fleet solutions to ACT Expo

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) is bringing an energy solution to ACT Expo in Las Vegas that meets 2027 emissions standards.

According to the organization, the solution demonstrates how propane autogas and propane-powered material handling equipment deliver immediate cost savings, operational reliability and emissions reductions for fleet operators today.

As fleets balance surging fuel costs and tight margins with uptime demands and evolving emissions standards, ACT Expo, held May 4-6, creates an opportunity to explore practical, scalable energy solutions.

PERC will educate attendees on how propane autogas can be implemented without disrupting operations, offering fleets daily energy costs up to 50 percent lower than diesel and up to 40 percent lower than gasoline, alongside immediate emissions reductions. Additionally, PERC will highlight propane’s role beyond on-road fleets, including material handling equipment and on-site charging applications.

Tucker Perkins, president and CEO of PERC, will speak during the session “A Simpler Path to Lower Costs: How Fleets Use Propane and Renewable Propane,” scheduled for May 4 from 11 a.m. to noon PT.

Joined by fleet operators from WSP, Suburban Propane, Roush CleanTech and Broward County Transit, Perkins will highlight how fleets are leveraging propane autogas to meet operational demands while demonstrating how it compares on cost per mile, maintenance and total cost of ownership.

“Fleets don’t have to wait for new infrastructure or vehicle platforms to scale,” says Perkins. “Propane autogas helps them meet sustainability goals now, delivering the cost control, reliability and emissions reductions they require.”

On-site, Joel Stutheit and Jim Bunsey, PERC senior managers of business development, will engage with fleet operators and OEMs to highlight where propane autogas can be implemented today and how it supports day-to-day operations while meeting sustainability goals.

At booth No. 2231, PERC will showcase propane autogas solutions across on-road transportation and material handling applications, including:

  • Nexio’s 7.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine: Built for medium- and heavy-duty applications, delivering diesel-like power, featuring 330 horsepower and 775 foot-pounds of torque.
  • Stanadyne’s propane direct injection system: Modeled in the GM 2024 Silverado 2500 HD, the system offers enhanced performance and efficiency while delivering towing capacity of up to 17,370 pounds. It provides drop-in compatibility and meets 2027 EPA ultra-low emissions standards.
  • EnviroCharge mobile EV charging: A mobile system designed to support electrified fleets without reliance on the grid. It uses propane autogas and renewable propane to deliver up to 40 kilowatts of EV charging capacity to a single vehicle and 45 kilowatts in generator mode.
  • NextGen Smart Dispenser from Gas Equipment Co.: A next-generation propane autogas dispenser built for high-use fleet environments, featuring smart technology such as LCR.iQ technology, remote updatability and EZ-Link software to streamline daily fueling operations.
