AmeriGas appoints True Value president to board

AmeriGas Partners LP elected John R. Hartmann to join AmeriGas Propane’s board of directors.

Hartmann currently works as the president and CEO of True Value Co., a privately owned hardware cooperative. Previously, Hartmann served as the CEO of Mitre 10, a major chain of home improvement stores in New Zealand. He has also held leadership roles at The Home Depot and HD Supply.

John L. Walsh, chairman of AmeriGas Propane, adds that Hartmann’s expertise in the retail sector will be a valuable asset to AmeriGas’ board and leadership team.
