Business development associate joins Paraco Gas

Paraco Gas hired Carl Kaplan as business development associate for the company’s mergers and acquisitions team.

“We are excited to welcome Carl to the Paraco team as we expand our mergers and acquisitions department. He brings 20 years of experience in marketing and business development, which will help to identify and pursue potential acquisition opportunities as Paraco continues to grow,” says Christina Armentano, executive vice president of sales and business development at Paraco.

Kaplan comes to Paraco from Ferrellgas, where he previously served as business development executive for mergers and acquisitions.

Kaplan is based in Trumbull, Connecticut. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Long Island University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Haven.

The company also appointed Armentano and Kevin Watson to its board. Both are members of Paraco’s executive team.

Watson joined Paraco as CFO in 2018. He is responsible for the financial structure of the company. Armentano joined the company in 2014.

“I am proud of our company’s strong governance, especially as a privately held family business,” says Joseph Armentano, CEO and chairman of the board of directors. “Christina and Kevin will bring additional business and industry expertise to our present board, consisting of three independent directors.”

Paraco Gas, based in Rye Brook, New York, ranked 15th in this year’s LP Gas Top Retailers list of the largest propane companies in the U.S.
