Cetane Associates names Tamera Kovacs as director

Financial advisory firm Cetane Associates named industry veteran Tamera Kovacs as director.

Kovacs has spent more than 20 years in the retail propane and delivered fuels industry. Her experience is in merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory, business consulting, transition planning and business valuation services. Kovacs is a regular speaker at industry trade shows and is a published author for business trade journals, including with LP Gas.

Before joining Cetane Associates, Kovacs was a financial consultant and business valuations expert with Propane Resources in its M&A consulting group. She earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA from Baker University.

“Tamera’s experience and knowledge will add to the strength of our company as we continue to expand our services throughout the industry,” Steve Abbate, managing director and principal of Cetane, says in a news release. “Her ability to connect with clients to help them achieve their goals and her extensive knowledge of valuations plus her experience in guiding clients through business transitions will enhance our value to our clients.”

Kovacs has worked on multiple aspects of sale transactions, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, confidential marketing, due diligence, contract review and negotiation of final closing documents.

Based in Kent, Connecticut, Cetane Associates is a provider of financial advisory services to owners of businesses in the retail energy distribution industry. Clients engage with Cetane Associates to advise on sales, spinoffs and acquisitions, as well as perform valuation and ad hoc corporate finance assignments, according to the company.
