December 16, 2021 By

Christensen Inc. purchased Yorkston Oil Co., based in Bellingham, Washington.

Founded in 1939, Yorkston is a family-owned, third-generation company. It owns and operates Commercial Fuel Network (CFN) sites, distributes fuel to branded retail sites and serves numerous independent and commercial accounts with heating fuels, industrial and motor oils, marine fuels and on- and off-road fuels.

“This acquisition represents a strategic investment that supports our planned growth in renewable fuels, retail fuel, lubricants and other industrial fluids,” says Tony Christensen, president and CEO of Christensen. “Through extending our geographical reach, this acquisition enhances our ability to deliver economically and environmentally sustainable solutions to customers in northwestern Washington and surrounding states.”

This is Christensen’s third acquisition in 2021. The company acquired two other facilities in Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon.

Founded in 1935, Christensen is a family-owned and -operated business with headquarters in Richland, Washington, and has more than 500 employees.
