EDP acquires South Carolina propane retailer
Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) acquired Carolina Propane Gas Corp., an Orangeburg, South Carolina-based propane retailer.
“Carolina Propane is a well-run organization with an excellent reputation and we are extremely pleased to welcome this company into our EDP family,” says Tom Knauff, CEO of EDP. “Carolina Propane also expands our national footprint into South Carolina, making it the ninth state we now serve. We welcome the company’s employees and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to Carolina Propane customers across the region.”
Carolina Propane was founded in 1994 by the Watford family and currently serves residential, commercial and agricultural customers. The company’s main headquarters is in Orangeburg and its second location is in St. Matthews, South Carolina.
