EDP names new regional vice president

Energy Distribution Partners (EDP) hired Merle Edington as regional vice president for the Northwest.

In his new role, Edington is responsible for leading the Northwest region’s operations management team to achieve the company’s safety, financial, service quality and operational objectives, EDP says.

Edington has more than 23 years of propane industry experience, holding various leadership positions involving acquisitions, management of large profit and loss operations, and operations management and support, according to the company.

Edington is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served 20 years on active duty in a variety of roles, including special forces weapons sergeant. He is originally from Medford, Oregon, and graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
